What platforms is DELTARUNE coming out on?

The full game will be available on PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The demo is available on PC, Mac, Switch, and PS4. (The Switch and PS4 demos are of course playable on Switch 2 and PS5, respectively.)

If I buy DELTARUNE on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, do I get the other version as well?

If you’ve already purchased the Nintendo Switch version of DELTARUNE on the Nintendo eShop or My Nintendo Store, you can download the Nintendo Switch 2 version at no additional cost. And likewise, if you’ve already purchased the Nintendo Switch 2 version of DELTARUNE on the Nintendo eShop or My Nintendo Store, you can download the Nintendo Switch version at no additional cost! (Except in Japan, where local laws require us to charge a small fee.)

How about on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5?

DELTARUNE is a Cross-Buy title on PS4 and PS5, which means you get both versions of the game for one price!

They're almost exactly the same, but check out the April 2 newsletter for more specifics.

How does save data work between the demo and the full version of the game?

On PC and Mac:
If you have demo save data, it should just work on the full version. You don't have to do anything special.

On Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5:
When you first start up the full version of the game, it will check your console for demo save data. If demo save data exists, a message will show up offering to import your progress from the demo into the full version.

Important: your demo save data needs to be on your console for it to be recognized. And since save data is tied to your user account, you need to be using the same account you used when you played the demo.



Note: The Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 full versions of DELTARUNE can also import save data from the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 full versions, respectively, in case you ever decide to upgrade consoles. You cannot, however, import DELTARUNE save data from Nintendo Switch 2 to Nintendo Switch, or PlayStation 5 to PlayStation 4.

I said no to importing save data, but I changed my mind. How do I make the import message appear again?

The import message only appears if you do not have any save data from the full version on your console. So if you just started the game but changed your mind about wanting to import data, the only way to make the import message appear again is by deleting your full version save data and starting up the game again. Obviously, take great care whenever you attempt to delete any save data, as once it's gone, you typically cannot get it back.

I'm on a different computer or console account from the one I played the demo with. Do I have to replay Chapters 1 and 2 before I can try Chapters 3 or 4?

No. You can play any chapter you like, right from the start. As long as you generally remember what happened story-wise, you'll be fine. (Of course, it's recommended to play the chapters in order the first time you play.)

So are Chapters 3 and 4 the rest of the game? This is it!?

There are more chapters planned. However, we've only completed up to Chapter 4 so far, so please be patient.

If I played the demo on PlayStation 4 and then import my save data to the full game on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, will it automatically unlock trophies that are exclusive to Chapters 1 and 2?

Nope. The only way to unlock trophies you can only get in Chapters 1 and 2 is to play through those chapters in the full game.
